Parameters

  • name - The document name if it differs from the pagename. Defaults to the page's name.
  • type - The type of the document. Defaults to none.
  • publication-date - Input with DD-MM-YYYY format. Can also accept MM-YYYY and YYYY
  • purpose - Defaults to none. Uses Text parameter to go avoid 300 character limit.
  • authors - Input as list separated by commas. Any individuals with articles associated with them will be automatically linked, so linking is not required. If an author's name consists of multiple parts, the first name (defined as the first chunk of the name separated by spaces) will be separated and rewritten in a Last Name, First Name context in certain citation styles automatically.
  • editors - Input as list separated by commas. Any individuals with articles associated with them will be automatically linked, so linking is not required. If an editor's name consists of multiple parts, the first name (defined as the first chunk of the name separated by spaces) will be separated and rewritten in a Last Name, First Name context in certain citation styles automatically.
  • compilers - Input as list separated by commas. Any individuals with articles associated with them will be automatically linked, so linking is not required. If a compiler's name consists of multiple parts, the first name (defined as the first chunk of the name separated by spaces) will be separated and rewritten in a Last Name, First Name context in certain citation styles automatically.
  • translators - Input as list separated by commas. Any individuals with articles associated with them will be automatically linked, so linking is not required. If a translator's name consists of multiple parts, the first name (defined as the first chunk of the name separated by spaces) will be separated and rewritten in a Last Name, First Name context in certain citation styles automatically.
  • publication-name - Refers to the published work the document is a part of, if any. Defaults to none.
  • publication-volume - Refers to the published work the document is a part of, if any. Defaults to none.
  • publication-issue - Refers to the published work the document is a part of, if any. Defaults to none.
  • publication-series - Refers to the published work the document is a part of, if any. Defaults to none.
  • publication-edition - Refers to the published work the document is a part of, if any. Defaults to none.
  • publication-pages - Refers to the page range of the document in the published work the document is a part of, if any. Input as two integers separated by a - (e.g. 100-105). Also accepts a single number with no dash if the item is only one page long. Defaults to none if no values are provided.
  • publisher - The name of the publication's publisher, if any. Defaults to none. Publishers with associated articles will be automatically linked, so linking is not required.
  • publication-location - The name of the publication's publisher, if any. Defaults to none. Locations with associated articles will be automatically linked, so linking is not required.

Type Parameters

The following is a list of parameters for each valid type. I'll flesh out this documentation as I build up this template more, but use these as your categories for now. Each entry here is also listed with every parameter required to properly cite them as a source. Indented types indicate that the type is either a subset of the main type or an additional recognized name for the item's Type which formats like another variant of that item. The list of types defined here were chosen based on recommended categories and parameters referred to by the the MLA, APA, and Chicago citation format style guides.
